10 WIRS The Water Industry Registration Scheme is for contractors who provide new connections to the existing water supply or sewerage system. These are referred to as “self-lay” organisations or SLOs. Accreditation under the scheme allows us to be a service provider and offers developers the following benefits. • Accreditation recognised by all water utilities and Water UK • Independent assessment and registration process • Achievement of a high technical, quality and safety standard. We have Accreditation under the scheme to provide the following scopes: • Design • Project management • Construction of Mains and/or Services • Construction of Routine Mains Connections • CRUPC – Construction Routine Under Pressure Connections NERS As a NERS provider we carry out work such as design new connections to the network, dig and fill trenches on and around new developments to be connected, and install electrical infrastructure and transformers, we have the following scopes: Electrical design of distribution networks covering: • Cable Networks ∙ To domestic properties ∙ To industrial/commercial properties ∙ EHV, HV + LV Networks ∙ 11KV/33KV ∙ Network Connections • Jointing ∙ LV Dead ∙ LV Live ∙ 11KV/33KV • Civil Works ∙ Cable Laying ∙ LV ∙ 11KV/33KV ∙ Substation Installation + Commissioning GIRS GIRS registered providers are able to undertake new gas connections, services alterations or disconnections, dependent on the scope of their accreditations. The GIRS accreditation marks our high technical, quality and safety standards and is recognised by all UK Gas Transporters. We have Accreditation under the scheme to provide the following scopes: • Construction of mains and services • Commissioning of gas mains and CSEPs • Connections and disconnections of services We are fully accredited to carry out our work.
